Everything You’re Wondering (and a few things you weren’t)
Most asked questions
Q: Can you accommodate large bridal parties?
A: I can complete 5 makeup looks by myself for a wedding party. If there are more than that I will have to hire another makeup artist to join me which will be an additional fee.
Q: Do you do hair?
A: I don’t personally offer hair services, but don’t worry—I’ve got you covered 😉 I work with a talented local hairstylist I can bring in to complete your look. Her pricing is available upon request, and you can check out her work on Instagram @setapartbynancy.
Q: Do I really need to book a trial before my wedding day?
A: I would STRONGLY recommend a trial before your big day. Your wedding day isn’t the time for guesswork. A trial lets us perfect your look ahead of time—so you feel confident, comfortable, and completely you walking down the aisle. It also gives us a chance to test longevity, adjust details, and make sure everything photographs
beautifully. Think of it as your stress-free preview of the real thing.
Q: Do you travel outside of the greater Houston area?
A: Absolutely! However, keep in mind that out-of-Town or Destination Services including travel, lodging, and per diem expenses will be discussed and agreed upon prior to booking.
Q: What makeup products do you use?
A: My kit is a little bit of everything—pro artist staples, viral faves, and hidden gems. Think Makeup Forever, Ben Nye, Moira, Juvia’s Place, Tarte, Sigma, Danessa Myricks… and anything else that delivers flawless, long-lasting glam. If it eats, it stays.
Q: Can you accommodate sensentive/acne prone skin?
A: I got you! My products and techniques are used specifically to handle all of your skin care needs. In fact many of my products are approved by the Acne Center of Houston.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes, in order to book and secure your date, you must pay a nonrefundable retainer. This is 50% of the cost of the service. The other 50% of your payment will be due 48 hours before the event.
Q: What is your cancellation/reschedule policy?
A: Grace Period (7 Days)
You've got a full week to make changes or cancel without any penalties. Just send me a quick message, and you'll get your retainer back.
Changes After the Grace Period
Once the 7 days are up, you're locked in! If you want to remove services from your agreement, you'll still owe the full contract price.
Full Cancellation
If you decide to cancel the whole service after the grace period, there's a $50 cancellation fee, and unfortunately, no refunds.
Bottom line
Make your decisions within that first week, or plan on honoring the full agreement!
Q: Will my makeup last all day/night?
A:Yes—your makeup is designed to last all day and night. I use long-wear, professional products and set everything to hold up through heat, photos, and dancing. That said, natural factors like skin type, weather, and happy tears can affect wear, so I always recommend a small touch-up kit for the best all-day finish.
